COME ABOARD & JOIN US FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION!
Join a small group of curious, like-mined travelers for the trip of a lifetime—an Antarctica expedition ship with the ability to carry up to 116-passengers.
Antarctica is a place like no other in the world—a land of otherworldly icescapes, towering glaciers and amazing wildlife. Come explore it aboard our luxurious expedition vessel, exceptionally designed and outfitted to provide a safe and comfortable cruise to Antarctica. The ships ice-certified hull, maneuverability and small size allow her to pursue itineraries not possible aboard conventional cruise vessels. She boasts state-of-the-art navigation and communications equipment, and she meets all SOLAS safety at sea requirements for Antarctic cruises.
Embark in Ushuaia, Argentina. Just 600 miles to the southeast, across the Drake Passage, lies the Antarctic Peninsula. While this is not a great distance, the “White Continent” remains a world apart, a majestic last frontier. Our expedition cruises are scheduled at the height of the Austral summer season – December through February – when waterways are open to navigation and wildlife is most active.
To fully immerse our guests in the experience and take advantage of the many opportunities to view wildlife ashore, we utilize a fleet of inflatable Zodiac landing craft that can be deployed quickly from the back of the ship. While at the Peninsula, we attempt several landings per day, permitting you maximum exposure to the many wildlife species and huge penguin colonies that make their summer homes in this environment. Or, we use the Zodiacs and kayaks for exploration around stunning icebergs and floes where seals stretch out and seemingly pose for our cameras.
Our expedition leader and diverse team of polar specialists will guide you at landing sites and provide an informative program of onboard lectures, video presentations and discussions. Collectively, our team of naturalists, wildlife biologists, geologists and historians has been on hundreds of cruises to Antarctica, and they know the best locations for both scenery and wildlife. They look forward to sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm with you, and are dedicated to providing the best Antarctic cruise experience possible.
They’ll also ensure that our guests are able to explore this remote and fragile world in an environmentally responsible manner, leaving no mark on one of the last great-untrammeled regions on earth. Remember that the Sea Spirit’s ability to visit specific landing sites during is dependent on weather and sea conditions, with day-by-day itinerary changes often dictated by nature. Ship movements and expedition landings are made at the discretion of the captain and expedition leader, with optimum wildlife viewing and passenger safety always the priority.
Antarctic Treaty regulations dictate that no more than 100 passengers go ashore at a landing site at any given time. So, if your vessel plans to be at a landing site for three hours—and your ship holds 200, 300 or even more passengers—your potential time ashore will be reduced in order to accommodate all the passengers hoping to go.
“Who Says Exploring Antarctica Can’t Be Accomplished in Comfort and Exceptional Style?” In addition to the expeditionary elements that make Antarctic cruises so rewarding, we can take great care to ensure your comfort and well-being. We can offer tastefully appointed with queen-size beds – or twins if you prefer – sofas, private facilities and thoughtful amenities. All staterooms have exterior views – many have large windows – and some of the suites feature private balconies. During your Antarctic cruise, enjoy delicious, freshly prepared meals from our internationally trained chefs.
There are a wide variety of options for Antarctica, based on your budget and requirements and it's best to discuss in detail so we can make the correct recommendations.
Antarctica is usually visited from November to March.

The Wonders of the Arctic
We offer the best experiences available for both Antarctic and Arctic Adventures and none better than a National Geographic led expedition with real experts in the environment and wildlife, bringing you a lifetime experience you are not likely to forget!
The Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard is the ultimate destination for High Arctic wildlife viewers and polar history buffs.
We journey deep into a true Arctic wilderness, home to an impressive array of terrestrial, marine, and avian wildlife, including some of the world’s highest concentrations of polar bears.
In this harsh polar environment we discover diverse landscapes of icy fjords, calving glaciers, snowy peaks, and flowering tundra. Historical sites throughout the islands recall Svalbard’s significance in the earliest chapters of Arctic exploration. Ever-changing ice conditions keep us flexible on this genuine expedition cruise.
ARCTIC WILDERNESS The land and marine environment of Svalbard is almost entirely protected in a network of national parks and nature reserves. Diverse wildlife habitats in this polar desert ecosystem include coastal grasslands, luxuriant wetlands, and seabird cliffs surrounding deep fjords dotted with islands alive with nesting waterfowl.
Upon this primeval landscape and in the nutrient-rich waterways we search for the full range of Arctic wildlife, including reindeer, Arctic fox, walrus, bearded seals, a variety of whales, and of course polar bears. Towering mountains, immense tidewater glaciers, and glittering icebergs provide a stunning backdrop to our voyage.
POLAR BEARS Polar bears can literally be spotted anytime, anywhere in and around Svalbard. These impressive, beautiful creatures can be found stalking seals on the pack ice, searching for carrion on the tundra, investigating the base of a bird cliff, traversing high mountain ranges, or even swimming in the open sea.
We take advantage of 24-hour daylight and exploit every opportunity to find and view these incredible animals behaving naturally in their spectacular habitat. On shore and in the Zodiacs we employ stringent safety procedures so that both you and the bears have a safe experience.
If it's Polar Bears you want to see then this is the expedition for you!
Normal sailings are from May to September with maximum number of guests ranging from 102 to 148, depending on the ship.
