An Introduction to Koh Rang Noi, Thailand's only Privately Owned Island

Rang Noi island is a short 6 kilometers from Phuket’s premiere Royal Phuket Marina. The island is a beautiful tropical paradise that is 25 Rai. On arrival to the island you will moor on the floating pier and either enjoy the short walk, or transfer by golf buggy to the beach sala where you will be greeted by our staff with cold towels and a welcome drink.
The island has 3 separate villas with the ‘Vista Villa’ located on the northern tip of the island with breathtaking views of Phang Nga Bay. It has four large bedrooms, a private pool, hot tub and a covered patio to enjoy dinner outside while you listen to the waves break on the beaches below. Each room has its own bathroom with separate bathtubs and showers. The villa has a large living area with its own gourmet kitchen and dining area.
The 'Royal Villa' has 8 spacious suites that includes separate bathrooms, lounge area and a private patio for enjoying nature at its best. The 'Great Room', where families and friends can hang out together is 455sq meters and can accommodate up to 20 dining guests.
Just to the west is the sunset patio, where some of the most beautiful sunsets can be viewed. The ‘Upper Villa’ sports a 33 meter-long pool with a hot tub for 20 and another smaller plunge pool, or wet deck for sunbathing. The patio area measures 525sq/m and is made for entertaining and includes a wet bar and BBQ sala. Also, for further entertainment, just off the main patio is a 300-capacity amphitheater that looks south towards Phi Phi Island and over looks Koh Rang Yai.
The entire upper deck is covered with a fixed roof and is ideal for dining, or events and offers protection should inclement weather occur.
Just below the amphitheater is housed a Karaoke bar and entertainment center. There is also a fantastic 43-seat movie theatre with thousands of movies, all available on a network system that can be played in any room on the island.
‘Sabai Wellness Spa’ has 6-foot massage stations and 7 private massage rooms, several with their own showers and bathrooms. The spa also has a steam room and an infrared dry sauna. Just past the spa is the full fitness center with treadmills, ellipticals, cycles, rowing machines, a state-of-the-art power plate, dumbbells, an inversion table, a full commercial grade Vectra work-out center and a small Muay Thai boxing area.
The furthest south ‘Seaside Villa’, feels like you are right over the water and has 8 rooms. It has the same basic layout as the Upper Villa with a few differences.
Situated just below the great hall is the Games Room, which includes pool table, shuffleboard, darts, air hockey, table tennis, board games and a full wet bar for your drinking libations. Adjoining the games room is a smaller fitness center and spa which, is fully functional with a large hot tub outside. The lower villa pool is organic in shape and houses a swim-up bar with seats and an outside toilet.
Welcoming you as you enter the villa is the great room, which is a large but very homely living area, featuring hand painted art and murals from all over Thailand. In general, the island is a tribute to Thai artisans of all kinds.
Everywhere you look there are Thai murals to wonder at, or sandstone carvings and some of the lights have been fashioned from original Thai shadow puppets, which are quite striking. The villa also contains some fabulous teak carvings and during building and completion, the owner had an entire village on-hand for months to create the impressive doors and headboards. As you enter the villa, you cannot help but be impressed by the entire dedication that went into creating this beautiful home.

The island is perfect for private events, special celebrations and brand launches, where international celebrities can perform at the specially built amphitheater.
